FC Barcelona Ronald Araújo’s Bride Abigail Olivera Shines in Bianco Evento Couture from Atelier in Barcelona
On June 21, 2025, under the soft light filtering through the stained-glass windows of the Methodist Church of Montevideo, Ronald Araújo, Uruguay and FC Barcelona‘s football star, tied the knot with his long-time love, Abigail Olivera. The couple, together for nearly a decade, finally celebrated their union in an intimate yet unforgettable ceremony surrounded by close friends and family.
We were honoured and delighted when Abigail got in touch with us for her wedding dress. She visited our Atelier in Barcelona where our designers helped her imagine her wedding attire using sketches.
What was she looking for?
From the very beginning, Abigail had a clear vision for her wedding day ensemble. She dreamed of a look that was both graceful and unforgettable—and a long, ethereal veil was at the heart of it. Understanding the importance of this detail, our design team at Bianco Evento worked closely with her to create the perfect finishing touch.
She wanted something that felt effortless—soft, airy, and graceful with just a hint of shimmer. After careful consultation and fabric trials, our designers proposed a 5-metre veil crafted from crystal tulle. The final design flowed like a dream, striking the perfect balance between romance and refinement. It didn’t overpower her look; instead, it gently enhanced the beauty of her majestic gown. A true statement piece—but one that spoke in a quiet, elegant whisper.
She stole the spotlight wearing a Princess bridal gown with longsleeves from the couture by Bianco Evento. Handcrafted with passion, the gown was nothing short of a masterpiece — the result of over 1200 hours of detailed craftsmanship.
The voluminous off-shoulder dress featured a regal corset made of French Chantilly lace, delicately embroidered with shimmering crystals. But it was the skirt that truly stole the show — a dramatic, ethereal 110-metre tulle cascade, adorned with 2,800 hand-sewn 3D flowers, crystals, and pearls that shimmered with every movement. Accompanying this spectacular creation was a breathtaking 5-metre crystal tulle veil, adding an air of timeless grace.
The glamorous affair stayed true to its private essence, but the magic and majesty of the wedding could not be hidden for long. As reported by Info Bae, the event resonated across Uruguay and beyond, capturing hearts not only for the love story it celebrated but also for the elegance and artistry that defined it.
The couple had kept details of the ceremony under wraps, but on Sunday morning, they made it Instagram-official with the caption “Just married,” sharing stunning images from their big day. The bride’s choice of attire from Bianco Evento, however, quickly became a sensation in the world of bridal fashion.
With this wedding, Bianco Evento once again affirmed its place as a trailblazer in the world of haute bridal couture, proving that even in the age of celebrity glamour, true craftsmanship and emotional storytelling still reign supreme.
Congratulations to Ronald and Abigail — may your new journey be as beautiful as your unforgettable day.
